We took a basic dog obedience group class from Holly several years ago and we were amazed at how much WE learned and what an impact it had on our relationship with our beautiful dog Echo. Unfortunately, Echo passed away at a very early age and we were heartbroken. We eventually got another dog and were able to use the skills that we had learned from Holly (the first time) and our new dog Cosmo did well. When we added another dog to the family (Kiva), we had new challenges that we were not equipped to handle on our own, so we recruited Holly and arranged for private lessons in our home. This was invaluable. She was able to see the dogs in our environment and coach us on how to be better dog owners and handle the issues specific to multiple dogs. I would highly recommend Holly to anyone needing first time training or a "brush up"! Having her undivided attention in our home with both dogs enabled us to get to a place of "peace" much quicker. Holly has saved our dog’s life and our sanity. We were told she was only 3 years old when we rescued her, but within a few weeks our vet told us that she was really at least 10 years old and that she had to have the last 10 teeth in her mouth pulled; the original 32 teeth had fallen out from infection. She was in pain and she was ornery! She didn’t like me at all. Holly stepped in and taught me how to give this little girl the best years of her life. How to make her not want to bite us, but to trust us. How to show her love that she would understand and how to protect her. Holly taught us how to teach an old, and previously abused dog new tricks. We are in love with our new dog and we have Holly to thank for it. We may only have our girl for a short time, but Holly has taught us how to make sure that time is her best years and ours too. I found Holly at a time when we had just adopted Freddie, who is a year old Pyrenees mix with 0 manners. We just lost our 6 year old border collie mix Hero and I have to admit Ive been pretty emotional and fairly sensitive just in general; everything surrounding Heros loss has been wildly traumatizing. Holly was very knowledgeable, wise, compassionate, patient, and understanding at I time when I really needed someone to be. I have seen a drastic improvement in both Freddie and my 5 year old husky Koda, who I thought was impossible to train. I very highly recommend Holly for any issues you might have with your dogs. She helped us deal with Freddie and Kodas aggression towards each other, with my anxiety about kennel and leash training, and with Freddies anxiety and abandonment issues. We literally couldnt even get out the front door before Holly came to us because Freddie had such a horrible reaction to anyone leaving. She also helped us with Freddie jumping and gnawing on us excessively, and so much more. Thanks Holly, for coming to the rescue. We will miss our weekly visits and will absolutely recommend you for anyone needing any help in the future. We look forward to working with you again should the need arise. Our story is much like Di’s. We’re in our 70’s & were captivated by a little black puppy - about 15 lbs. - a Doberman/labradoodle mix. I had never had a large breed puppy/dog. It didn’t take long to realize she was more than we could handle. Strong, strong willed, energetic & a bit mischievous! This is where Holly came into our lives. Our pup, Fiona, loved her & was so responsive during every session! And, as a bonus, I loved my time with Holly! She had the knowledge & patience to train both Fiona (& me)! Fast forward - Fiona is now just over a yr old, 70 lbs of pure love & adoration. A sweet, sweet spirit. Holly was called to help us with our 2 new adopted rescue terrierists. She listened to us, answered all questions and quickly provided solutions to help us with all their bad behaviors. She has the temperament & tools to help with any issues you are having with your dogs. It will take some time to turn them into what we desire, well behaved obedient dogs, but they are so much closer than before we brought Holly in to the rescue. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.
